Margaret R. Rudy, 97, of Lancaster, passed away, Saturday, May 22, 2010 at St. Anne's Retirement Community. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Harvey M. and Rosa (Houser) Fawber. Margaret was the wife of the late John H. Rudy Jr. died in May of 1965.

Margaret was employed by Consolidated Cigar Co., and before that Hamilton Watch. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Altar Rosary Society, Legion of Mary, AARP, and Lancaster Recreation Center Happy Hour. Margaret enjoyed gardening and her home of many years on Conestoga Blvd.

Margaret is survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by 2 brother, Norman and Harvey Fawber, and 2 sisters, Elsie Mae Ginter, and Dorothy Shomo.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, May 28, 2010 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church 501 E. Orange St. Lancaster 17602 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Daniel Mitzel as Celebrant. Family and friends will be received at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home 414 E. King St. on Friday before Mass from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church 501 E. Orange St. Lancaster 17602.
