Nancy J. Rogers, 66, of Lancaster, passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2010 at Homestead Village. She was born in East Petersburg and was the daughter of the late Herbert M. Sr., and Isabelle (Koch) Charles.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Melvin H. Rogers in 2005.

Nancy was a mail clerk for the US Postal Service for twenty-nine years.

She was a member of St. Luke's United Church of Christ.

Nancy enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews, playing bingo at Homestead Village, and helping others in need.

She is survived by two sisters, Shirley Bare, wife of Mervin, of Witmer, Janet Sweigart of Landisville, a brother, Herbert Charles, Jr., of Lancaster, two step children, Robin Sauder, wife of Brent, of Washington Boro, Lisa Nudy, wife of Lou, of Newburg, Indiana, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Service on Monday July 19, 2010 at 10:30am from St. Luke's United Church of Christ 719 Marietta Ave. Lancaster, PA 17603 with The Rev. Paul K. Eyer officiating. A viewing will be held at the church from 9:30 to 10:30am. Interment will be in East Petersburg Mennonite Cemetery.
