Brian
W. Peters, 66, of Lancaster, PA passed away peacefully surrounded
by his family at Lancaster General Hospital on Sunday May 2, 2010.
He was born in Watts Township, Perry County to the late Stanley
and Grace (Louden) Peters.
Brian is
survived by his loving wife, Dale (Lippincott) Peters. On December
20, 2009 they celebrated their 40th wedding
anniversary.
Brian was a
math teacher for thirty-three years. He taught 7th and
8th grade math at Centerville and Landisville Middle
Schools in Hempfield School District until his retirement.
Brian
graduated from Lycoming College in 1966 and
also
earned his Master's Equivalency.
He was a
junior high wrestling coach, as well as a high school track and
field coach for Hempfield School District.
Brian golfed
frequently and operated a part-time painting business in his early
years. In his presence, no Rubik's Cube or puzzle ever went
unsolved. He enjoyed walking and hiking with his family and
friends, especially at Long's Park, the Good Drive Trails, and
while vacationing. Brian always looked forward to traveling to
visit his children and grandchildren. One of his greatest joys in
life was having his grandchildren crawl onto his lap to spend time
with their beloved PopPop.
Surviving in
addition to his wife, Dale, are their three children, two sons,
James (J.B.) Peters, of Broomfield, CO, Gregory M. Peters and
devoted girlfriend Nicole Thomas, of Lancaster; daughter, Amy L.

preceded in death by his brother Mike Peters, and his
granddaughter Talia Lynn Brubaker.
The Peters
