Mary
J. O'Brien, 90, of East Petersburg, passed away, Wednesday,
January 06, 2010 at Lancashire Hall Nursing Home. Born in
Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth (Leddy)
and Patrick Keenan. Mary was the wife of the late William O' Brien
who died in July of 1990.
Mary was Assistant Chief Operator for Bell Telephone for 35 years.
She was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church. Mary enjoyed
dancing, big band music, the Jersey shore and was very passionate
about animals.
Mary is survived and missed by her loving daughter, Patricia
M.
Mackley of East Petersburg, and family, 2 grandchildren, 4 great
grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, and 4 step great
grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary
Kathleen O' Brien, and a brother James Keenan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, January 11, 2010
at 10 a.m. at St. John Neumann Catholic Church 601 E. Delp Rd.
Lancaster 17601 with Msgr. Richard Youtz as Celebrant. Family and
friends will be received at the Church before the service from
9-10 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery,
Philadelphia.
