 Paul
E. Murr, 85, of 62 Pilgrim Drive, Lancaster, passed away on
Thursday. September 16, 2010 at the Essa Flory Hospice Center
after a lengthy illness.
He was the
husband of Mary K.( Kuster) Murr, with whom he celebrated 60 years of
marriage this past May 20th. Born in Lancaster, he was
the son of the late George and Pauline Murr.
Paul had
worked as a Manufacturing Engineer for ITT Grinnell in Columbia
for 10 years. Prior to this he had worked for Armstrong Cork Co.
for 24 years and at Kerr Glass Co. for 4 years.
A lifelong
model aviation enthusiast, Paul had been a member of many local
model aviation clubs and enjoyed teaching others to fly model
planes. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a former
member of St. Ann-Neumann Senior Group.
In addition to
his wife, he is survived by his son John D. Murr of Landisville,
his daughter Jodine A. Rohrbach of Lebanon, his 3 grandchildren
Rachael, Alex, and Kevin, his brother George H. Murr of Lancaster
and his sister Shirley Boose of Willow Street.
Friends will
be received on Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010 from 10-11AM at the
Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, 441 N. George St.,
Millersville, PA , with the Memorial Service to follow at 11AM. In
