Robert K. Michael, 80, of Lancaster, died Saturday, January 2, 2010 at his home. Born in Mount Hope, PA, he was the son of the late Gilbert J. and Luanna C. Dean Michael. Robert was the husband of Pauline L. Young Michael and they would have been married 60 years next month.

Robert worked 47 years for Armstrong Floor Plant in the yard department and then as a long distance truck driver.

His memberships included Armstrong AA, Columbia Fishing and Game Club, and Cocalico Sportsmen Association.

Surviving besides his wife there are two sons: Douglas L. Michael husband of Peggy Tarlezky Michael, Dennis D. husband of Barbara Michael, a daughter, Patti Pfahler, all of Lancaster, five grandchildren: Keith A. Michael, Kelly wife of Michael Frey, Greg husband of Jennifer Michael, Gary Michael and Aimee Pfahler.

A funeral service will be held at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 414 E. King Street, Lancaster, PA on Friday, January 8, 2010 at 10:00AM with Rev. Barry Bradley officiating. Interment will be in Riverview Burial Park. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Thursday night, Jan 7, 2010 from 7-9PM and on Friday morning from 9-10AM. Please omit flowers.
