I want to extend my condolences to you during this difficult time.  I do feel privileged to have had the chance to spend time with Bob over the years.  His infectious laugh , combined with his insights and wittiness , were always things that I looked forward to when we were together at family gatherings.  His generosity of spirit and heart were his greatest assets.  To me , Bob always epitomized what has become to be known as the " greatest generation ".

my deepest sympathy to you Peg for the loss of Bob.  thinking back over a number of years, never a cross word, always a smile in his voice.  a special guy, one i certainly was blessed to cross my life's path.  Bob was a good man, now at home where we all aspire to go.  no doubt in my mind that to a question by the angels to Bob of how he was doing, he will respond with his cheerful, able to sit up and take nourishment, heavenly style that is.  may God's Peace and strength be with you Peg in the days ahead.  our prayers are with you and with Bob.

We miss Bob and Peg here in Morristown.  They were a vital part of our community, always giving where it was needed.  We worked with them on the Family Life Committee at Assumption, and never had so much fun welcoming new families to the parish.  Bob and  Peg were always ready, with a smile and sense of humor, to pitch in on almost any endeavor.

Peggy: Patricia and my kids and I will remember forever how you and Bob so cordially and lovingly greeted us in your capacity of Kellogg Club managers when we first moved to Morristown. What I'll always remember about Bob was his sense of humor, that twinkle in his eye, the way he could get people, including myself, to lighten up a bit and not  take things so seriously, especially  when it wasn't necessary. Both he and you always had a special warmth and kindness that is too rare among human beings.

Denise and I were sorry to hear of the passing of Bob.  We remember him for his many years as our neighbor in Morristown, NJ and fellow parishioner at Assumption Church but of course as the co-manager of the Kellogg Club along with his lovely wife Peggy back in early nineties.   Bob was always dedicated to helping in every way he could.  We enjoyed his great sense of humor and appreciated his generosity and kindness as well.   His life was inspiration to us all.   Our prayers are with all in the McGeown family.

Peggy - Very sorry to read of Bob's passing. He was a fine gentleman liked by many. I have good memories of your years here at the Kellogg Club (where I still live !) as managers. You were friendly and optimistic people, and I needed that. I am still grateful for when you hired a lawn crew to cut the grass as I had been doing it all myself - thanks again ! None of the managers since even begin to compare to you guys. I really missed you. Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you. I will always remember Bob and his smiling outlook. When my father passed away in `07 my parents had also been married about 57 years - just like you. I will be thinking of you.
