Larry
A. Lutz, Sr., 73 of 1071 Cambridge Drive, Manheim, PA, passed away
on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at Lancaster General Hospital.
He was the
husband of Patricia A. Emig Lutz, with whom he celebrated 54 years
of marriage this past July 14th. Born in York, he was
the son of the late William T. and Mary Ayers Lutz.
Larry had been
the owner of Duke Auto Sales from 1976 until 2001. Prior to this,
he had worked as a district manager for American General Insurance
Co. for more than 10 years.
A 32nd
degree Mason, he was a member of F&A Masonic Lodge 417 of
Christiana, the Lancaster Lodge of Perfection, the Reading
Consistory, and the Rajah Temple Shrine Club of Reading.
He was a
member of St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church of Lancaster.
Larry was a US
Army veteran of the Korean War, serving in Korea as a Specialist 3rd
Class.
In addition to
his wife, he is survived by his 2 sons, both of Lancaster: Gregory
B. Lutz companion of Brenda Hottle, and Joseph P. married to
Shannon R. Lutz; his 5 grandsons Robbie, Ben, Eric, Sam, and Jack,
and by his brother Thomas E. Lutz of York. He was preceded in
death by his son Larry A. Lutz, Jr.
Friends will
be received on Monday, September 27, 2010 from 10-11AM at St.
Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 10 Delp Rd. Lancaster, PA
17601, with the Funeral Service to follow at 11AM. Interment in
St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make
