Doris A.
Logan, 94, of 3985 Locust Grove Rd., Columbia, passed away on
August 30, 2010 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.
She was the
wife of the late Ronald Logan, who passed away in 1998. Born in
Manchester, Jamaica, Doris was the daughter of the late Wilfred
and Catherine Reid and the granddaughter of the late C. Billy Reid
of Scotland.
She was a
self-employed beautician in Kingston, Jamaica for twenty-five
years. Facilitated by the Catholic Charities, she had also worked
in years past caring with the terminally ill, in New York City.
Doris was a
member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Columbia. She was known
for having a big heart and always tried to help others in need.
She is
survived by her 2 daughters, Vinnette Brown of Manchester, Jamaica
and Theresa Brown-Albert, married to Troy Albert of Columbia; her
4 grandchildren: Bianca Brown, DuJon Brown, Demetri Albert, and
Shelly-Ann Brown and her 2 great grandchildren ; Siblings: Eugene
Reid, Valerie Reid and the late Merilda Reid of Jamaica, George
Reid and Louise Reid of England and cousin Roy Reid of Jamaica.
Friends will
be received on Friday, Sept. 10, 2010 from 10:30-11AM at the Holy
Trinity Catholic Church, 409 Cherry St., Columbia, PA, 17512 with
the Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11AM. Interment will be
private in Jamaica. Flowers will be received at the church or
