Dear Janet and family:

We have lost a legend today and you are not alone in your loss.  Janet, what courage and steadfastness you've shown in standing by Jack during his final months.  God bless and keep you for your selfless example of strength and love.  Knowing Jack, he wouldn't want anything but happy thoughts to be shared among his survivors and friends of which he drew many.  I will be forever grateful for the gift of Jack Hesse to brighten many days and nights with his never ending smile and good word.  If Dominic the Donkey is in heaven, you can bet Jack is slapping his "ass" now, pun intended!  Gone but NEVER FORGOTTEN!  Rest in Peace, Jack, and all my love to you Janet as what I hope may be some small comfort to you in this time of heavenly transition.

We were all so sad to hear of Jack's passing! Sadly, we had only known Jack a few years, but we were always so taken with his love of people, his friendliness to everyone he met and his genuine love of life! Jack was a character, definitely of the best kind. He will truly be missed in the neighborhood! Our deepest sympathy to you and your entire family!

from Andy:  My friend, I didn't make it to see you but here is my remembrance.
Being carried in to St. Paul's drunk as a skunk.  Coming to your house sharing
a Heineken in a hot tub w/Marie and Janet in 90 deg weather and laughing our asses off at so much in this world - when all that matters is friendship.  Re-membering you and Janet's faces at St. Barnabas when Marie and I gave testimony to our marriage many yrs ago as we hit the 48 yrs of marriage in June.  Thank you for the never-ending compeitition of Brand X versus Brand X.
I love you my friend and see you on the other side....

from Marie:  Jack, sweet one, I see your face.  I remember so well you and Jan's hospitality always.  I remember when I needed you both at a bad point,
and you came to our Wantagh home and cried w/me.  Then the rejoicing when Andy and I got together once more.  I remember our children, Regina, Christine, Andrew, and Vincent always loving "Uncle Jack".  It was your gift.
You were scrawny and tough looking, but not really.  I remember being scared
at the Cursillo, and you made me calm and you didn't even know that.  Now, you are calm and you will forever be loved.  Your photo w/Jan's is hanging up
and the one w/you and Andy, where it will stay, in our NC home.  God, we need
real Italian bread and sausage and proschiutto, ETC.  I am sure you are Jesus's bodyguard and will have all the angels laughing.  We miss you already.

Dear Janet:
  Even though we haven't seen you all for a long time you are always thought of by us. Frank and Patsy and I remember the laughs. It was always great to see you all. Janet we send all our love and prayers to you.

Dear Janet and family,
Steve and I are so sorry for your loss.  When we lived on Fox Hollow Drive Jack was a bright spot of our day.  He always stopped to visit and was always full of words of wisdom.  I'm know he will be sadly missed in the community.  We are now in Kansas and heard about his passing.  You and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers.
