Pearl I.
Hampton, 82, of Lancaster, passed away on Friday, January 8, 2010
at Lancaster General Hospital.
She was the
wife of Wilford E. Hampton, with whom she celebrated 57 years of
marriage this past November 29th. Born in Catawissa, she was the
daughter of the late Anthony D. and Pauline E. Zaborowski
Jankowski.
Pearl had been
a Registered Nurse at Conestoga View for eight years, retiring in
1990. She was a 1949 graduate of the St. Joseph Hospital School of
Nursing.
She was a
member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.
In addition to
her husband, she is survived by her 3 daughters: Janet M. and
Patricia J. Hampton, both of Lancaster, and Paulette K. married to
Mark Divet of Millersville; a son William E. married to Tammy M.
Hampton of Lancaster; and her four grandchildren Eric and Rachel
Divet and Lauren and Natalie Hampton. She is also survived by her
sister Jeanne T. Abel of Silver Spring, MD and her brothers,
Edward of Catawissa and John, husband of Mary, of Lansdale. She
was preceded in death by her sisters Stella, Pauline, Josephine,
Helen and her brothers Stanley, Raymond, Joseph, Anthony and
Walter Jankowski.
Family and
friends will be received on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 from
10-11AM at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 558 W. Walnut
St., Lancaster, PA with the Mass of Christian Burial to be
celebrated at 11AM. Interment in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery.
