Frances Giambalvo, 96, died peacefully Thursday, February 18, 2010 surrounded by her family at Hospice of Mount Joy after a brief illness. Frances was a resident of Audubon Villa, Lititz. She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip in 1990. They were married for 57 years.  Born in Castelvitrano, Sicily, she was the daughter of the late Cologero and Ninfa Lupino Lodato.

 Surviving are her two children: Joseph F. husband of Debrah (Binkley) Giambalvo, Lancaster, Phyllis L.(Mattiace) wife of  James Eckenroth, Lancaster, five grandchildren: Frances, Gina, Lisa, Nancy and Michael and nine great grandchildren and a former daughter-in-law, Jane Rosar.

Frances loved to crochet, and play cards. She also loved playing bingo. She will forever be in our hearts and minds.

 Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John Neumann, 601 E. Delp Road, Lancaster, PA on Monday, February 22, 2010 at 11:00AM. Interment will follow at Conestoga Memorial Park. There will be a viewing at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home and Chapel, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz on Sunday evening from 6-8:00PM.  There will be a viewing at the church from 10-11AM on Monday.
