You will be missed by many whom have known you
over the years little brother. Although I was not in your life
during my 21 years in the Marine Corps, the family reunions ,
Weddings , special occasion and Holiday get-together,s will
always stick out most in my mind along with other memories of us
as kids growing up. God Bless you on your journey to be-with
him!
Your Brother
Greg
TOM WAS A OUTSTANDING PERSON, A NOTCH BETTER
THAN THE AVERAGE HUMAN BEING. HE ALWAYS WAS HELPING OTHERS AND
DID THE VERY BEST HE COULD. HIS WISDOM AND EXPERIENCE, DOING
THINGS RIGHT, MAXIMIZED HIS LIFE, AND PEOPLE AROUND HIM.
You will be missed by us all. I have always
considered you to be my brother I never had. Life isn't always
fair to us, but you kept a good attitude. You were lucky to find
such a wonderful wife and have such beautiful loving daughters.
I know you were very happy to finally have your family. You were
always smiling, kidding, and made everyone feel comfortable
around you. May God bless you with open arms. Love you dearly
and I was honored to be part of your life for a time.

Deb, Nicole, Lindsay and Haley,
I am so sorry for your loss. There are no words I can say to
ease what you must be going through. I wish I could be there
this weekend, but know our thoughts are with you. Tom was a
wonderful man and he will be missed.
Kisses and love,
Lynn
We will miss seeing and hearing from you. You
were truly a friend to all of us. Debi, you and your family are
in my prayers and thoughts as you go this grieving road ahead of
you. Tom always spoke of everyone and especially his
grandchildren. We are very selfish when it comes to death, even
though they are in a better and more beautiful place. Hold on
to the memories of what you had. Tom will be deeply missed.

Tom was such a positive person ever since I
met him at college. He was a fraternity brother of mine, and was
always upbeat. Even during his ordeal, I can honestly say I
never heard him complain. He was a hoot to be with, a friend,
and a loving husband and father. I will always remember him as
Funky. He will be missed. Delta Sig will always remember him.
RIP, Funky.

Uncle Tom was the best. He taught me a lot
about working hard. I remember helping him sand the walls of his
new house to get ready to paint. We sanded those walls forever.
Finally after days of sanding they were perfect! I always looked
up to Tom for his good taste too. He always had nice things and
was always offering his advice. We would talk for an hour about
investing or marketing plans. I always left the conversation
feeling smarter and more pumped up than ever. Of course I looked
up to Uncle Tom as a father of a great family too. I'm lucky to
have three great cousins and an awesome aunt. It's not going to
be the same without Uncle Tom around. RIP Tom
Love,
Matt Hicks
The Arbors will not be the same without Tom's
watchful and caring eye over the lawns in our community. His
wisdom and expertise will be missed. We will miss his friendly
conversation as he walked the dogs. Our deepest condolences to
your family. The Arbors has lost one of the its best residents.

Tom was a wonderfully upbeat, patient and kind
man who positively influenced the lives of many students. He
will be sorely missed by his friends at BCTC.

Dear Deb, Nicole, Lindsay, Haley, Aunt Dot,
and Greg, Jeff, and Susie,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you through this difficult
time. I will always remember being part of the "Funk family"
during our visits to Waynesboro. Those times spent together,
will always be in my heart. May God Bless each and everyone of
you, and I know he will wrap his arms around you, hold you
tight, and give you the strength to go on.
Much love,
Nancy Rozelle McLain ( and Kristen also).
Thomas,
It's almost impossible to believe you're no longer with us. I
hope you know the immeasurable effect you had, and still have,
on everyone you came in contact with. Adults, children, family,
friends, neighbors, coaches and players alike have all, in one
way or another, been touched by your presence. Today will be the
perfect example.
And while we may not have been close recently, you were a huge
part of my youth and I couldn't be more thankful for that. The
Funk household was my home away from home. You and Deb took care
of me like you did your own daughters and I felt loved every
minute I spent with all of you.
To say you will be missed is an incredible understatement. Your
tough love will live on through everyone who knew and loved you.
We love you Thomas! Rest in peace.
Erica Gassmann
We are so sad to hear of Tom's passing. What
a great father and husband! May you have peace in knowing that
God loves us and Tom is in the arms of our great God!
Love,

Dear Deb,
I stopped at the Infusion Room at Lancaster General Hospital
about a month ago to see if possibly Tom would be there getting
chemo. The girls said they had not seen him for awhile. They
thought maybe he was getting chemo at the Health Campus Infusion
Center. I was wondering how he was doing with his fight against
cancer. You both came to my mind and I prayed for you. Then
yesterday I opened the paper and saw the picture of Tom. I was
very sad. He was such a pleasant guy and I always had a good
time coming to your home and seeing both of you and the "kids"
(dogs). You both became more that just a patient and his wife.
You became my friends. I trust that the "God of all comfort"
will be near to you and your family at this difficult time. Tom
will be missed.
With love,
Joyce Harris (your Apria nurse)
So shocked and sad to read about the passing
of Tom. What a wonderful young man! We all had such a good
time when we were young down on Second St. in Waynesboro. I
have many fond memories of those days. Had not seen him for
years but he matured into a very handsome, and from what I read,
very well liked, positive and kind person. My thoughts and
prayers are with you as Tom is with God.

young. May God give peace and comfort to your family.

We are thinking of you during this difficult
time. We have good memories of Tom as a field hockey dad with a
great positive attitude about life.

Debra & Girls,
I was saddened to hear about Tom's passing. Tom had such an
amazing positive attitude. I was always touched when he told me
stories of the family. One could tell how much he loved and
cherished his children and how proud he was of each and everyone
of them. I was definitely blessed to have crossed paths with
Tom. Tom taught me the true meaning of living life to the
fullest and to always try to have a positive outlook. My
thoughts are prayers are you with you and the girls during this
difficult time.
