 Frank
C. Fix, ,77, of Lancaster, PA passed away at the Essa Flory
Hospice Center on Thursday, November 18, 2010, surrounded by his
loving family.
He was the
husband of A. Marlene Fix, with whom he celebrated their 54th
wedding anniversary this past June 2nd. Born in
Lancaster, Frank was the son of the late Frank A. and Winifred J.
Gries Fix.
Frank had
worked as a cooker, baker, and roller for the Hammond Pretzel
Bakery for 40 years, until his retirement in 1992.
With over 30
years of service with the Cub Scouts, he had served with Troops
16, 43, 306, and 22 in the Lancaster area. Frank had also been a
trainer for 10 years with the midget football league at St. Joseph
Catholic Church, and was the Safety Chairman for the Travelers
Protective Assn.
Frank was a
member of Redeemer Lutheran Church.
In addition to
his wife, he is survived by his 4 children: Michael F. married to
Laura E. Fix of Londonderry, NH, David F. Fix partner of Greg
Nauman of Lancaster, Donna married to Philip Huber of Branson, MO,
and John R. married to Laura L. Fix of Lancaster; 8 grandchildren,
and 1 great grandson. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Anne
married to Robert Aichele of Lancaster.
Friends will
be received on Monday, November 22, 2010 from 930-11AM at Redeemer
Lutheran Church, 500 Pearl St., Lancaster, PA 17603, with the
Funeral Service to follow at 11AM, the Rev. David Kreider
officiating. Interment in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of
