 Ruth
(Schlager) Ettner, 89, of Lancaster, passed away, Friday, January
08, 2010 at St. Anne's Retirement Community. Born in Lancaster,
she was the daughter of the late Helen C. (Kolb) and John P.
Schlager. Ruth was the wife of the late Kenneth E. Ettner who died
in May of 1986.
Ruth was
employed at various places as a secretary. She was a member of St.
Joseph Catholic Church.
Ruth is
survived by a brother; Robert G. Schlager husband of Bonnie of
Lancaster. And many nieces and nephews.
She was
preceded in death by 4 sisters; Marie Darrenkamp, Claire Rice, Ann
F. Schlager, and Kathleen Grassel. And 2 brothers; John K.
Schlager, Donald L. Schlager.
A Mass of
Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at St.
Joseph Catholic Church 440 Saint Joseph St. Lancaster 17603 with
Msgr. Thomas Smith
as Celebrant. Family and friends will be received at the church
before the service from 10-11 a.m. Interment will follow at St.
Joseph New Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the
American Heart Assoc.
