Eugene
L. Ehrhart, Sr., 85, died at home in Lancaster on Saturday,
January 16, 2010. His wife, the late Elizabeth J. Burns Ehrhart,
died in 1972. He was born in Lancaster to the late Titus and Edith
Manning Ehrhart.
Eugene
was wounded while serving in the Army in Central Europe during
WWII. He worked as an auto mechanic for Lancaster Lincoln Mercury
and Lancaster Autohaus. A member of Calvary Baptist Church, he
enjoyed fishing, small game hunting and gardening.
Surviving are
five sons, Eugene L., Jr., Lititz, Stephen D., Conestoga, Michael
P., Baltimore, Timothy A., Forty-Fort and Robert C., Lititz; ten
grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother and two
sisters.
A Visitation
will be take place on Thursday from 10:30-11 AM at the Charles F.
Snyder Funeral Home, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, followed by the
funeral at 11AM, with Pastor John Jewers officiating. Interment in
Conestoga Memorial Park with Military Honors accorded by Red Rose
