My very deepest sympathy to all the Devenneys.
I remember a big, happy family on Bloomingdale Avenue. This is
one of the nicest obits I have ever read. What a wonderful,
long life she had. God bless all of you as you lay Millie to
rest. My sister, Barbara, is out of town. I'm sure she would
want me to express her condolences also. Barb was in Debbie's
class-- I was in Connie's class.
Sincerely,
Ann Gallagher
Betty and I are sincerely sorry for the loss
of your dear, great mom. She was the essence of grace and
warmth. She lived a great life and I know that you will carry
all of the fantastic memories that she and your dad made for
you.
Most sincerely,
Jeff and Betty Windstein
Jim and Family,
I'm sorry for your loss. It sounds like she lived a full life,
one that will be cherrished by all.
Your family will be in our prayers as this is a time of sorrow
and celebration as she will be missed, but has made the journey
home.
Best Regards,
Chad Shreiner
Jim and family,
We're sorry for your loss. I remember the many happy times in
the Bloomingdale area.
Sincerely,

Jim, Bob, Connie, & Debbie,
I still carry many fond memories of staying with your family in
Lancaster, and yours visiting us in Rye, NY. I recall visits to
Dutch Wonderland, rides in cars with you teens, make-up lessons
from you Connie and Debbie, and watching you boys play HS and
college football.
I always considered your mom and dad "Uncle Dick and Aunt
Mildred". You were my cousins in my mind. Aunt Mildred was
always a gracious and composed hostess, despite the invasion of
the Spicer's and the "energetic" Spicer kids.
I hope you and your family will find comfort in knowing Aunt
Mildred is now with Uncle Dick, and is at peace and with God.
You all remain in my thoughts.
Love,
Laura Spicer Rosenstein
Dear Bob, Connie, Jim and Debra,
I'm very sorry to hear of your mom's death and hope that you are
doing well during this difficult time. It sounds like your mom
lived a very full life. I'm sure she is greatly missed.
I'm also very sorry that I will not be able to attend the
funeral and reception tomorrow. I've been trying to figure out
a way to come but, unfortunately, cannot get away. God bless
you as you remember and honor her tomorrow.
Sincerely,
Randy Wilcox

Although I didn't know Mildred as a personal
friend, we met her through the Iris Club when we were having a
function there. I am a New Holland retiree and know Dick
through work. May you have the strength that you need to get
though this difficult time. God's Blessings to all of you

Jim,
I am saddened to hear of the passing of your Mom. In my eyes
and experiences, she presented a genuine warm, fun loving, and
caring spirit. I wish I had an opportunity to know her better
in my adulthood. Thinking of you and your family,

My husband Jeff & I would like to send our
condolences to all Mildred'd family members. We are fortunate to
be residing in the home of your parents/ grandparents on
Robindale Avenue. I remember at settlement when we purchased the
home the lovely stories Mildred shared with us. We always hoped
she would have stopped by sometime to visit. Again, our best to
each and all of you during your difficult time.
Respectfully,
Jeff & Caroline Schompert
