 Betty
J. Copeland, 75, of Lancaster, passed away on Friday, March 19,
2010.
She was the
wife of Donald R.Copeland, with whom she celebrated 56 years of
marriage this past February 6th. Born in Lancaster, she
was the daughter of the late George E. and Sara E. Riale Brown.
Betty had
worked as an infant teacher at the Learning Ladder in Granite Run
for 10 years until 2004. She had also worked at the former Little
Peoples Day Care on Rohrerstown Rd.
She was a
member of St. Luke's United Church of Christ.
In addition to
her husband, Betty is survived by her 2 children: Donna M.
Copeland of Lancaster and Donald R. Copeland, Jr of Leola; her 4
grandchildren Christine Bailey, Donald R.Copeland, III, Keith
R.Copeland and Kevin G. Copeland; and by her 7 great grandchildren
Dominick, Brandon, Austin, Devin, Morgan, Ava, and Caleb. She was
preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Duncan.
Friends will
be received on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 from 10-11AM at the Charles
F. Snyder Funeral Home and Chapel, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA,
with the Funeral Service to follow at 11AM, the Rev. Paul Eyer
officiating. Interment in Millersville Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu
of flowers, contributions may be made in Betty's memory to St.
Luke's UCC, 719 Marietta Ave., Lancaster, PA 17603 or to Hospice
of Lancaster County, 685 Good Drive, Box 4125, Lancaster, PA
