We lived caddy corner across the street from
Dorn and we always found him to be a wonderful and kind man. He
helped us when we first moved here and in time we hope we repaid
his kindness when he was in need. We only have good memories of
him and how much he did for us. It was a pleasure to drive past
and always have him wave to us and remember the kids at the
holidays. We are very sorry for your loss - he will be missed.
Dorn Clare Sr was a great man and would do
anything for his family. He was proud of what he was,who he
was.He will never be forgotton in my life. He tought me to be
strong and keep your head up.He helped raised throughout my
years when i needed helpped the most.,He tought me to always be
there for your family and don,t forget where you came from.I
will always remember all that grandma and grandpa has done for
me.I wished i would have taken time out of my to thank them for
all that they have done for me.Rest in peace.
Dear Family,
Dorn's family at Hamilton Arms would like to send our sincerest
condolences to all of you. Our lives have been blessed by
knowing and taking care of such a wonderful husband, father and
veteran.
Monica Fasnacht, AD and all the staff at Hamilton Arms
When we moved to Northview Dr, we had been in
the house all of 10 minutes when Dorn had walked across the
street to our house and was knocking on the door to introduce
himself. Over the last 3 years we received kind supervision and
advice on our outdoor/yard projects. He enjoyed a good chuckle
with us at the obvious failure of one of our projects! We
exchanged trick or treat candies, joking we were all a bit too
old to be doing such. We marveled at Dorn's riding his riding
mower backwards down his backyard hill-in his 80's! We also
heard of his great love for his wife and the heartbreak of the
suddenness of her illness and passing. He laughed about how she
wanted to raise tropical fish in the basement but he did most of
the caring for them. He talked about her love for cats and
breeding them, and shared many other anecdotes of his youth in
Lewistown, service in Alaska, being a mechanic, and building a
home next to the in laws; one of the first homes on Blossom
Hill. Dorn credited his wife for the best parts of his life,
including "those boys of mine, they turned out good because of
her." We will miss Dorn sitting in his lawn chair getting a
little sun in the driveway, and always having a friendly wave.
Our condolences to the Claire family for the loss of such a
wonderful, humble man.
