Grace
M. Campanelli, 73 of Lancaster, died Saturday, April 10, 2010 at
the Mount Joy Unit of Hospice of Lancaster County. Her late
husband Richard D. Campanelli died in 2002.
Born in Brooklyn, she was the daughter
of the late Michael and Angelina Ventola Petito. Grace graduated
from St. John's University in Queens and was an accomplished
business woman. She volunteered in cancer care at local hospitals
and was an avid traveler. A member of Sacred Heart of Jesus
Catholic Church, she visited the sick, served as a Eucharistic
Minister and Lector at Mass, was a member of the Auxiliary of The
Legion of Mary and she volunteered at many parish functions.
Surviving are two sons, Richard and
Steven Campanelli and five siblings, Patricia Demarco, Carmela
McKeen, Angelo Petito, Angelina Perri and Rosalie Petito. She was
a loving aunt to numerous nieces and nephews and a devoted friend
and true inspiration to all. Her siblings Phylis Matteo, Joseph
and Anthony Petito and Susan Guerrieri preceded Grace in death.
Viewings will take place on
Wednesday, April 14, 2010 from 7-9 PM, with the recitation of the
Rosary at 8:15 PM, at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc.,
414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA and Thursday, April 15, 2010 from
10-11 AM at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 558 W. Walnut
St., Lancaster, PA. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at
the church on Thursday at 11 AM, with The Rev. Michael E. Messner
as Celebrant. Final Farewell and Commendation will take place in
St. Joseph's New Catholic Cemetery. Please omit flowers.
