Carl S Brandt,
Jr., 86, of Lancaster, Pa., died Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at Manor
Care.
Born January
14, 1924 in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Carl S and
Florence S. (Sharpe) Brandt. He was the husband of Winsome E.
Brandt.
During World
War II, he proudly served his country in the Army Air Corps,
spending nearly two and a half years in the CBI Theater. Carl then
worked at Armstrong Industries for almost 40 years.
He is survived
by two sons, Stephen C. Brandt of Lancaster, Pa. and Craig S
Brandt, MD, of Hollidaysburg, Pa.; and three grandchildren
Kimberly Henrikson (Robert), of New Canaan, Conn., Elizabeth
Brandt of Alexandria, Va., and Michael Brandt of Hollidaysburg,
Pa. He is also survived by two brothers, Paul R. Brandt, husband
of Betty, of Lancaster, Pa., and Jere R. Brandt, husband of Jane,
of Danville, Pa. He was preceded in death by brothers Frederick H.
Brandt and James T. Brandt as well as a sister, Susan S. Pennel.
Funeral
services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the
family. Carl will be laid to rest at Indiantown Gap National
Cemetery.
