Helen Benner, 88, formerly of Lancaster, died at The Mennonite
Home on Sunday, May 30, 2010. She was the wife of the late Warren
L. Benner, who died in 1995.
Born in
Leitersburg, MD, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Eva
Jane Steckel Ridenour. Helen worked at the former Garvin's
Department Store and then at the former Jack's in Park City. She
was a member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church.
Surviving are
her daughter Jane, wife of Joseph Stehman, Willow Street, 3
grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and her siblings Evelyn Smith, Waynesboro, June
Lynch, Hagerstown, MD and Mary Jane Kline, Burbank, CA. Her
siblings Anna Mae Kline, Ruth Morganthal and Lamar Ridenour
preceded Helen in death.
Helen's family
extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of The Mennonite
Home and Hospice of Lancaster County for the loving care they gave
to her.
The Viewing
will take place on Thursday, June 3, 2010, from 9:30-10:30 AM,
followed by the Funeral at 10:30 AM with The Rev. Jeffrey N. Webb
officiating, at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church. Interment in
Paradise Presbyterian Cemetery. Please omit flowers. Contributions
