Stanley J. Asato, 75, of Lancaster died at Pleasant View
Retirement Community on Monday, April 19, 2010. He was married to
Norma J. Wildgrube Asato for 37 years. Born in Honolulu, Hawaii,
he was the son of the late Joseph I. and Mildred Y. Higa Asato.
A veteran of the US Army, Stanley served in Europe during
the Korean War. He worked for Western Exterminator Company in
Southern California as a manager / supervisor for 30 years.
Stanley was a
member of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church and previously did
various church work and taught Sunday school in California. He was
a former member of the Elks Club in California and he enjoyed
fishing and playing golf.
In addition to his wife Norma, Stanley is survived by three
daughters, Herlinda, wife of Daniel Bean of Elsinore, CA, Michelle
Winder of Anaheim, CA and Suzanne, wife of Cary Robinson of
Villanova, PA; seven grandchildren and two sisters, Gail, wife of
James Kashima of Camarillo, CA and Wanda, wife of Hutch Murata of
Santa Ana, CA.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, April
26, 2010 at 10:30 AM, in the Chapel at St. Leo the Great Roman
Catholic Church, 2427 Marietta Ave., Lancaster, PA with The Rev.
S. T. Antony Raja as Celebrant. Private Interment in Indiantown
Gap National Cemetery. Contributions can be made in Stanley's
memory to the American Heart Association, Lancaster Chapter, 610
