Although it's been years since I've seen any of you, you've all always been in my heart and memories.  I recently reconnected with Joey on Facebook and regret that I hadn't yet done that in person.  I will always remember him, he was such a fun and colorful person. I loved that Joey lived his life in such an energetic way and the way that made him most happy. I know that he flies with angels now.

to ester and family joey was an awesome person and a great friend, if your was having a bad day he could always put a smile on your face thats what i loved about him. i can remember 15 years ago moving to sunnyside with gomer sitting in the yard not knowing anybody and there was joey introduced his self to me and told me to walk around with him and his sister pud next thing you know i became friends with everybody and till this day ss is my family and friends we will always love him dearly and will always be in our hearts and our prayers.

I am stunned over the news of Joey.  He was the "brother" my son never had.  Michael cherished his friendship, support and crazy-fun times they had over the years.  Michael left us suddenly 3 1/2 months ago in his sleep and now Joey has followed in the same unexpected manner.  Friends on earth and now friends beyond earth -- we smile for them through our tears -- and can only begin to imagine what their reunion was like.  My heartfelt condolences to all of Joey's family and friends.

I first moved to Lancaster back in 1997, and was introduced to Joey by my new partner "gil", and Joey was always so upbeat and entertaining, my first impression was when we hosted a dinner at our home and he was the life if the party.  He will always be remembered and pray that he is being well taken care of on his journey. Till this day I cant believe he's gone. Joey was good friends with my dad, they were like brothers, always joking around & having fun. We had alot of fun times together :) All I can do is hold on to memories ; his laugh, smile & great sense of humor. He is in heaven now with my dad, may they both rest in peace.
