Veda Mae (Vaughn) Wilson, 82, of Mt. Joy, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, March 21, 2009 at Hospice of Lancaster, Essa Flory Center. Born in Sandy Ridge, PA., she was the daughter of the late William M. and Elsie P. (Shock) Vaughn. She was the wife of the late Henry S. Wilson Jr. who died in 1987.

Veda was employed by the Community Action Program in the Day Care. She was a member of the Florin Church of the Brethren.

Veda is survived by 4 sons; William Wilson husband of Kathy of Mt. Joy, Ronald S. Wilson companion of Amy Weisman of Lancaster, James E. Wilson companion of Cheryl Wilson of Marietta, and Allan R. Wilson husband of Hilary of Lancaster. 4 daughters; Nancy A. Wilson of Manheim, Sharon R. Garris wife of Robert of Manheim, Laura M. Hanna of Lancaster, and Kelly J. Wagner wife of Dave of Lancaster. 22 grandchildren. 24 great grandchildren. 2 brothers; Dale and Clyde Vaughn. And 3 sisters; Lucy Leona Townsend, Elsie Hofner, and Grace Hamer.

She was preceded in death by a daughter Dorothy Lee Vaughn.

A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at the Florin Church of the Brethren 815 Bruce Ave. Mt. Joy 17552 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Eric C. Anspaugh officiating. Family and Friends will be received before the service at the church from 10-11 a.m. Interment will follow at Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens, Columbia.
