Carl Speros, 74, of Lancaster, passed away on Wednesday, January
28th, 2009 at his residence. Born in Lancaster, he was
the son of the late Ernest Z. and Kathleen E. (O'Neil) Speros
Mr. Speros was employed for many years by Vallorbs Jewel Co.as a
quality control inspector He served in the U.S. Army Reserves.
Carl was an avid fastpitch softball fan, and fisherman He loved
his dog Katie who is a therapy dog and was involved with K- Pets,
a therapy dog group. He was also a past member of the Civil War
Round table group.
Surviving are one brother, Ernest Speros of Reading, four nieces,
Stephanie McClune, Michele Trost both of Willow Street, Valerie
Speros and Karen Speros both of Columbia three nephews, Ernest J.
Speros of Willow Street, James Z. Speros of Pittsburg, and Anthony
Speros of York four great nieces, Lindsay Griest, Jessica Griest,
Madison McClune, Alexandra Wettig all of Willow Street. Carl was
preceded in death by a brother James Speros.
Services will be held at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home Inc,
414 East King Street, Lancaster, PA, 17602 on Wednesday, February
4th, 2009, at 1PM. There will be a visitation from 12PM
until the time of the servic e. Contributions may be made in
