Dear Santopolo Family:
We are deeply saddened by the loss of your Mother, Mrs. Santopolo.
As a family, our memories are vivid and warm of your Mother, even though it has been almost forty years since those days in Philadelphia.
People today speak of the "old days" when a parent would watch out for all of the children in a neighborhood.  Mrs. Santopolo was a guardian angel for our neighborhood, she was always on the scene to dress a scraped knee, to prevent a squabble, to respond to someone's tears or to provide some cold Welch's grape juice on a hot day.
She set a great example of "family" every day.  She treated all the kids out playing like we were her own children.
Our thoughts are with you all during this very difficult time.
