 Thelma
Ross, 83, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully surrounded by her
family, Friday, January 23, 2009 at Brethren Village Retirement
Community. Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA, she was the daughter of the
late Hugh and Gladys Jones. She is the wife of Lehman C. Ross with
whom she celebrated 51 years of marriage this past February 21,
2008.
Thelma will be
remembered for her sweet and gentle way. She was kind hearted and
generous. Thelma was loved by all who knew her. She truly loved
her family which will be her lasting legacy.
The family
wishes to thank the staff at Brethren Village and Hospice of
Lancaster for the care and concern they showed during her illness.
Surviving in
addition to her husband Lehman is a son: Alan Ross husband of
Robin of Drexel Hill, PA. A daughter; Carol Maxwell wife of Harry
of Lititz. 2 grandchildren; Andrew and Evan McVey. And a sister;
Dorothy Jane Gardner of Scranton, Pa.
She was
preceded in death by a brother; Hugh Jones.

A Funeral
Service will be held Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at the Brethren
Village Retirement Community Chapel
3001 Lititz Pike,
Lancaster,
PA
17601 at 11 a.m. Family and Friends will
be received before the service at Brethren Village Chapel from
10-11 a.m. Interment will be Thursday, January 29, 2009 at Maple
Hill Cemetery, Wilkes-Barre Pa.
