 Elizabeth
Biehle Roschel, 51, of Lancaster, passed away on Wednesday night,
August 26, 2009 at Mount Joy Hospice. Born in Pomptain Plains, NJ,
she was the daughter of the late John F., Sr. and Sarah Hooper
Biehle. She was the wife of Anthony F. Roschel, with whom she
celebrated 20 years of marriage on Oct. 4th.
Elizabeth
was a Registered Nurse, RN, BS, MSED, GTS for 24 years at the
former Community Hospital and Lancaster General Hospital. She
spent two years as the Manager of Endoscopy at Lancaster General.
Elizabeth was a graduate of Manheim Township High School, St.
Joseph School of Nursing, and Surgical Tech. School in Buffalo,
NY. She was a member of the Association of Operation Room Nurses,
Sigma Theta Tau, PSGNGA, the 7th Ward Club, a board
member and served on the committee for the American Cancer Society
of Lancaster Co. She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church.
Surviving in
addition to her husband is her stepson, Matthew B. Roschel,
husband of Heather, Columbia; and brothers, John F. Biehle Jr.,
Jersey City, NJ, and Paul M. Biehle, Lancaster.
A Memorial
Service will be held at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home and
Chapel, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, Pa on Saturday, September 5,
2009 at 11:00AM. Friends may pay their respects to the family from
9:30-11:00AM at the funeral home on Saturday, September 5, 2009.
Interment will be private. In Lieu of flowers, contributions may
be made in Elizabeth's memory to Hospice of Lancaster County, P.O.
Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125. Arrangements are by the
Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home and Chapel, Lititz, 560-5100.
