Fred was a neighbor, a friend and a surrogate father.  His laugh was infectious.  His heart was bigger than his body.  I will miss the man I greatly admired. He was a  loving husband, a great father and a joyous grandfather. He adored his family.  Rest in peace dear Fred.  I will miss you.

While I did not have the privilege to know Fred, I am honored to know his son Chad and call him my colleague.  Chad - please know that all of your SOM family are thinking about you at this sad time.  I hope that the love you and your Dad shared and your wonderful memories of him will be a source of comfort to you at this difficult time.  Please know that you will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Margaret, Freddie, Keith & Chad: 
It is with extreme sadness that I learned about Fred's death.  I want to extend my sincerest sympathy to you all knowing that Fred's last years were not good-health ones.  I am sure that you all shared and suffered during his health issues as this affects everyone in the family.  My prayer is for your strength during the grief process.

In reading the obituary, I can't help but reflect on the 49 years since I first met Fred.  It is sad to say that the entire Richmond family (except for Moe) died at such early ages.   Most definitely Fred was the favorite child of Morris and Marion and I am sure that designation was well deserved.  I will always remember Fred for his sense of humor and for me, in particular, how caring he was to Lynn, Bob and me at Bob's funeral.  I will always remember Fred's love and support during the most difficult days of my life.

We are very sorry for your loss. We only got the meet Mr. Richmond a few times and he was so pleasant. Once on a visit to the house our children were along and for about a week Mr. Richmond was all the children talked about! You are all in our thoughts and prayers!

Both Glenn and I would like to express our most sincere sympathy to all of you.  We speak truly from the heart and understand all too well what you are going through at this time.  Death is never easy, but rest assured Uncle Fred is in great company in the heavens above.  Our childhood memories are abundant with good times shared at family gatherings and our NJ visits. We are also very thankful for Uncle Fred being so supportive to both my father and us kids through one of the most difficult times in our young lives. Was saddened to hear the news about my Uncle Fred.  It warms my heart to know that in reading his obituary he was a devout Christian.  I feel certain that he is with his "nuclear family" and all would finally be forgiven.  It is with sincere regret that our family continues to be so distant. WE wish you all well during this difficult time and maybe someday the wall could be brought down.
