H. Earl Reading, 94, of Lancaster, passed away Monday, September 14, 2009 at his residence. Born in Williamsport, he was the son of the late Harry and Mary (Keller) Reading. Earl was the husband of the late Jane D. (Dempsey) Reading who died in July 2000.

Earl proudly served his country in WWII in the United States Army. He retired from Avery Label Company as a Salesman.

Earl is survived by a son; Bernard Reading husband of Melanie of Lancaster. 3 grandchildren. 7 great grandchildren. And a sister Romayne Reading of W. Hartford, Ct.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, September 18, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 558 W. Walnut St. Lancaster 17603 with Rev. Michael E. Messner as Celebrant. Family and friends will be received at the church before the service from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Susquehanna Association for the Blind and Vision Impaired 244 North Queen Street Lancaster, PA 17603.
