John H. Parrish, Sr.

John H. Parrish, Sr., 58, died at his home in Quarryville on Wednesday, December 2, 2009. He was the companion of Carolyn A. Garren. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Edward R. and Charlotte T. Singleton Parrish.

John worked for Packaging Corporation of America in Lancaster for 20 years. He was a member of the United Steel Workers Union, Moose Lodge #299 in Lancaster and Riverside Camping Association. He enjoyed bowling and baseball.

Surviving in addition to his companion are two sons, John E. Bender of Manchester, CT and John. H., Jr., husband of Kim Parrish of Lancaster; daughter Michelle, wife of Michael Richardson of Lancaster; three stepsons, Jack, Jason and Donald Smith; three granddaughters; two brothers, Ed, husband of Rita Parrish of Conestoga and Raymond Parrish of Lancaster and a sister Patricia Wittig of Lancaster.

There will be no viewing, however friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 414 East King St., Lancaster, PA. Private interment at the convenience of the family. To send an online condolence, please visit www.snyderfuneralhome.com
