Margaret
E. "Peggy" Palma, 88, of Lancaster, PA passed away surrounded by
her loving family at Village Vista on January 10, 2009. She was
born in Philadelphia, PA on July 8, 1920 to the late Bernard E.
and Frieda (Steuben) Muller.
Peggy was
married to John D. Palma of Lancaster for 60 years. They were
married on June 28, 1948.
Peggy was of
the Catholic faith.
Peggy was a
waitress in her early years for Stouffers Restaurants in
Philadelphia for fifteen years. When she moved to Levittown, PA
she
worked
at Pomeroy's Department Store. She lived in Levittown from
1953-1978 before moving to Lancaster.
During Peggy's
retirement years her and husband John owned PJ's Varieties at
Meadow Brook Farmers Market. She loved going to auctions, estate
sales, collecting antiques, and had a flair for decorating.
Surviving
beside her husband is a daughter, Linda Ross husband of James E.
of Lancaster, a son Dan Palma husband of Lark Pickett of Portland,
Oregon, seven grandchildren and twenty five great grandchildren.
Peggy was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Relatives and
friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Service at
Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 441 N. George St. Millersville, PA
717-872-5041 on Monday January 12, 2009 at 1pm with David Ross and
Rev. Michael Yoder officiating. There will be a viewing from
