Betty M. Myers

Betty M. Myers, of Elizabethtown, passed away, Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at Masonic Village. Born in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late Jeanette (Foucart) and Howard E. Sander. Betty was the wife of Leon C. Myers with whom she celebrated 30 years of marriage this past November 2.

Betty was employed by Williamsport Scottish Rite as an office manager for 28 years before her retirement. She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, the American Business Women's Assoc., and a past Presiding Officer of the Amaranth. She enjoyed golfing, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Surviving in addition to her husband Leon are: 2 daughters, Sandra J. Strunk wife of Willis L. Shirk, Jr. of Harrisburg, and Donna I. LaBow of Mountville; a granddaughter, Aimee E. Strunk of Lancaster; 6 step children; 4 step grandchildren; and 3 step great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Sander, Jr., a sister Jean Aderhold, and her son, George C. Strunk, Jr.

A Memorial Service will be held Monday, December 28, 2009 at 10 a.m. at Masonic Village Sell Chapel, One Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown, PA 17022. The Reverend Gary S. George will Officiate. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Hospice Unit at Masonic Village, One Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown, PA 17022. Arrangements by Charles F.
