May the light Myles brought to your family
shine brighter with each year. While we can not imagine the
emotions you feel today, we are confident they are felt because
of the love, caring and experiences shared as a family. These
three precious years are forever with you and always part of
you.
With our love and sympathy-

Dear Lisa and Paul and family,
I want to say how sorry I am for your loss of precious Myles.
The loss of a child is life-changing. You will never return to
"normal", but have to develope a "new normal". Grief brings a
myriad of emotions. Men and women grieve differently, and there
is no correct way or time line. Allow each member of your family
to grieve in their own way and time. Support each other in this.
I want to make you aware of a Christian based support group for
parents who are grieving the loss of a child. We are called
"BASIS"= Brothers And Sisters In Support. We have a group that
meets monthly in Akron, in a home of our Mission Director. We
usually have a topical discussion, share our current walk in our
grief journey, and then have refreshments and informal chat
time.
Check us out on our website:
www.hvmi.org, click on BASIS page. Thanks and I'll be
praying for you.
In Christian love, Marilyn Barto, Office Administrator of BASIS.
