Paul
H. Martin, 80, of Ephrata formerly of Millersville and Lititz
passed away peacefully on Sunday April 12, 2009 at Pleasant View
Retirement Community surrounded by his loving family. He was born
in Lancaster, PA on January 7, 1929 to the late Benjamin and Lydia
(Pyle) Martin of Millersville. Paul is survived by his wife
Shirley (Harding) Martin of Ephrata. They were married on January
7, 2000.
He was a
member of Calvary Church. Paul was employed by Armstrong World
Industires. He retired after 45 years of employment. Paul served
his country with the U.S. Marine Corps. He enjoyed hunting,
woodworking, traveling with his wife, and lawn work. His
memberships included the local Rod and Gun Club and American
Legion Post #34.
Surviving in
addition to his wife is a son and four step daughters, Paul H.
Martin Jr. of Lancaster, Kathryn Bilger of West Virginia, Barbara
Fetter wife of Andrew of Stevens, Suzanne Thiry wife of John of
Wyomissing, and Jennifer Reeder wife of Christopher of Ephrata,
nine step-grandchildren, and three step-great grandchildren.
Relatives and
friends are respectively invited to attend the Funeral Service
from Calvary Church 1051 Landis Valley Rd. Lancaster, PA 17601 on
Thursday April 16, 2009 at 11am with Rev. David D. Allen
officiating. A viewing will be held at the church from 10-11am.
Interment will take place from Grace United Methodist Cemetery,
Millersville, PA with Military Honors rendered by the Red Rose
Veterans Honor Guard. Memorial contributions in Paul's memory may
be made to Hospice of Lancaster County, 685 Good Dr. PO Box 4125
