Louis
Kovacs, 85, of Lancaster, passed away on Thursday, September 24,
2009, at Golden Living Center. Mr. Kovacs was a son of the late
Matthew and Anna (Pinter) Kovacs. He was born on May 19, 1924, in
Poughkeepsie, NY. Shortly after birth, Mr. Kovacs returned to his
home country of Hungary, until returning to the United States in
1956. He is survived by his wife, Maria Kovacs. They were married
on November 17, 1947.
Mr. Kovacs was
employed by Stahl Corp. as a welder for over 25 years. He was a
devout catholic and a loving father and husband. He was a member
of Saint Mary's Catholic Church.
In addition
to his wife, Mr. Kovacs is survived by a son, Louis J. Kovacs of
Riverside, CA; a daughter, Anne Marie DiCarlo, wife of Benjamin of
Lancaster; and two grandchildren: Gina Marie and Benjamin Francis
DiCarlo both of Lancaster. Mr. Kovacs was preceded in death by a
son Francis S. Kovacs.
Mass of
Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, September 29, 2009,
at 10:30 AM from Saint Mary's Catholic Church, 119 South Prince
Street, Lancaster, PA 17603 with Rev. Leo Goodman as Celebrant. A
viewing will be held on Tuesday morning at the Charles F. Snyder
Funeral Home Inc. 441 North George Street, Millersville, PA 17551
from 9-10:00 AM. Final Farewell and Commendation will be on
Wednesday, September 30, 2009, at 11:00 AM at Resurrection
Cemetery, 5201 Hulmeville Rd. Bensalem, PA 19020. Kindly omit
