 Thomas
J. Kirchner, 55, of Lititz, PA, passed away on Tuesday, December
22, 2009 in Hamburg, PA.
Born in
Lancaster, he was the son of the late John C. and Ruth A. Eckman
Kirchner. He was the fiancée of Nikki L. Vigoda of Pottsville.
Tom was the
owner and operator of Beer Planet on South Centerville Rd. for the
past 8 years. Prior to this he had worked in quality assurance
for Gehl Co.with farming equipment, for Ford New Holland, The
Westinghouse Corp. in Cincinatti and the Hamilton Watch Co.
He was a
Millersville University graduate, where he earned a degree in
Business.
He had
attended St. James Catholic Church.
A person who
really loved life, Tom enjoyed fishing, camping, canoeing and the
outdoors, was a big Eagles fan and loved dogs.
He is survived
by his daughters: Megan and Elizabeth, both of Lititz; his
brothers Michael D. of Lititz and Stephen T. of Lancaster, and by
his sisters, both of Lancaster, Christine A. married to Donald
Waite and Laurie A. married to Scott Koch.
Friends will
be received on Tuesday from 10-11AM at St. James Catholic Church,
505 Woodcrest Ave, Lititz, PA, with the Mass of Christian Burial
to follow at 11AM, the Rev. James O'Blaney as Celebrant. Interment
in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please
make contributions in Tom's memory to the Humane League of
Lancaster County, 2195 Lincoln Hwy East., Lancaster, PA 17602.
