Michael
M. Kilheffer, 60, of Lititz, PA passed away at home surrounded by
his family and under Hospice care on Friday, January 23, 2009
after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Lancaster on
June 10, 1948 to the late Louis M. and Margaret (Kirchner)
Kilheffer.
Mike is
survived by his wife Janet L. (Davidson) Kilheffer and they
celebrated 28 years of marriage. They were married on March 29,
1980 in Lancaster.
Mike was
baptized in the Catholic faith and was a member of St. Joseph
Catholic Church. He went to St. Joe's School and was a 1966
graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School.
Mike was in
the printing business all of his life. He was co-owner of Color
Impressions Inc. for 18 years and after selling his business he
worked this past year for H&E Litho Inc.
Mike was a
board member and treasurer for seven years for the Lancaster Youth
Hockey Association during the construction of the Lancaster Ice
Rink. He held memberships at the Hubley Social Club, 7th
Ward Republican club, and the Rainmakers Association.
Mike was an
avid sports fan. He especially enjoyed spending time with his
family and traveling with friends. He was a loving grandfather to
Brady Michael.
Surviving
besides his wife is a son, Brian M. Kilheffer of Lancaster, a
grandson Brady Michael of Lancaster, three sisters, Peggy Kline
wife of Robert of Harrisburg, Kathy Krupansky wife of Fred of West
Chester, and Mary Beth Lindsey of Manheim, a sister-in-law Donna
Davidson of Akron, and many loving nieces and nephews. He was
preceded in death by two brothers Louis Jr. and Thomas O.
Kilheffer.
Relatives and
friends are respectfully invited to attend the Mass of Christian
Burial on Thursday, January 29, 2009 from St. Joseph Catholic
Church 440 St. Joseph St. at 11am with Mgsr. Thomas Smith as the
Celebrant. Friends may pay respects to the family at the church
from 10-11am. Final farewell and commendation will take place from
St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions in Mike's memory may be made to Lancaster Catholic
