Michelle A. Jones, 37, of York, passed away at York Hospital on Sunday, July12th of natural causes.

Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of Stephen N. and Stephanie K. Long McBride of Lancaster.

Michelle was a Certified Nursing Assistant, working for a private care nursing firm and previously for the Allegheny School for the Mentally Impaired in Middletown. In her work, she was well-liked and was often personally requested by those needing care.

During her teenage years, she was an avid gymnast, diver, and swimmer. She was a devoted loving mother to her son and was a beloved daughter and granddaughter.

She was of the Catholic faith.

In addition to her parents, Michelle is survived by her son, Stephen Jack Jones of Middletown; her brother Michael H. McBride of Johnstown; her maternal grandparents Harry F. and Teresa L. Long of Lititz; her paternal grandmother Betty J. McBride of Columbia and her companion Glenn Willis of York.

Friends will be received on Friday from 9-10AM at St. Leo The Great Catholic Church, 2427 Marietta Ave., Lancaster, PA, with the Mass to follow at 10AM, the Rev Peter Hahn as Celebrant. Interment in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery. Please omit flowers. Contributions may be made in her memory to a benefit account for her son, Stephen J.
