Stephie -- I love you.  My heart is just aching for all you've been through.  I am so grateful that you were Chris' wife, and that he experienced a true and abiding love with you even in the midst of his demons and struggles. 
  I will pray that as you heal from all of this you'll be able to remember with joy the Chris that you married, and you'll remember our Johnston family gatherings with a smile on your face.

Johnston Family,
It is with saddened heart that I hear of Chris's death. Although it has been more than 20 years since I last saw Chris, I have fond memories of our early years. One particular night comes to mind. We were at a party until 4:00 AM and Chris had no ride so we took my brothers car and I drove him home. It was the first time I ever drove and I had no license since I was only 15. Foolish things kids do but we laughing all the way.
It is my sincere hope that your bereavement passes quickly and you to are left with the best of memories.

Ross was in Tennessee with Valerie, Abbey, Emma & Wyatt and Nancy is in the hospital, so we just learned today (Mar 16)about Chris.  Please know that you all are in our prayers.  We counted it a real privilege to know Chris thru you two.  May God bless you richly in these days ahead.
