Dear Aunt Mim.....
It must seem like a whirlwind this week since Barb and I were there Sunday/Monday.  I am glad we could talk with him while he could still understand us.  We are sooo happy to have had that chance to minister to you and Elvin.  It helps us to close that family connection with peace.
May God's comfort fill your heart with love in Elvin's absence and carry you thru the days of morning.  Give us a call when you are ready to go out and we would be glad to do something with you!
Our love and prayers,
Dave from his work computer.

My deepest sympathies go with you at this difficult time.  Mr. Hess was my teacher and advisor in school; but I have always seen him as a close friend and kindred spirit.  We shared a real love for the " joys and discomforts of agricultural life" as stated in the FFA creed.  Our Lord has a plan for each one of us, and to farm the good earth is what he intended for me.  I am farming today in no small part thanks to Mr. Hess.  He really helped me in my hog and poultry projects, guided me through public speaking contests, and gave me the confidence to serve as chapter vice president in 1975 and chapter president in 1976.  I am so glad that I got to see him several times in the past few years and that he continued to visit me when I was farming in Manheim and he was the Lawn Doctor.  I will really miss him; as he has so richly blessed my life.  May the Love of God surround you all, Demas J. Moyer (e.a.h.s. class of 1976)
