 Richard
D. " Rick " Herr, 65, of Lancaster, passed away on Wednesday,
April 22nd, 2009 at Hershey Medical Center. Born in
Lancaster, he was the son of the late Richard F. and Sara C.
(Clements) Herr. Rick was married to Vicky F. (Farrington) Herr
for 34 years. They were married on August 24th, 1974.
Mr. Herr was
a self employed Artist specializing in Architectural Renderings.
He was a founding member of TACO LAROTEF " TACO" " Where he was
affectionately known as Space Man" Rick was in the bowling league
Winter Flower and member of the Sunflower Team. He was a member of
the Worship Center, where he was a care leader, team leader usher
and 180 Group volunteer.
Surviving are
his wife, two dogs, Barney and Shannon, two brothers, Daniel C,
husband of Caroline Herr of Lancaster, James F, husband of Cindy
Herr of Lancaster, one sister, Lois Herr of Arlington, VA,
numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A service will
be held at the Worship Center, 2384 New Holland Pike, Lancaster,
17601 on Saturday, April 25th, 2009 at 11:30AM with
Pastor David Parker officiating. There will be a visitation from
11AM until the time of the service. Interment will be private and
at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be made in
