 Thomasena
G. Grossman, 75, of Lancaster, passed away on February 20, 2009 at
Lancaster Regional Medical Center.
She was born
on June 14, 1933 in Manheim, PA and was the daughter of
Clarence E. and Mary (Fauby) Gainer.
She graduated
from Manheim Central High School.
Earlier in
life she worked at RCA, Black and Decker, and Herley. Thommy was
an avid bowler and enjoyed many years camping at Bush River, MD.
Thommy is
survived by her three children Gary L. Grossman husband of Linda
M., Douglas H. Grossman, and Vickie G. Tyre all of Marietta, PA,
eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to
her children she is survived by her companion Donna Mae Brown and
three sisters Lucille Haldeman, Sandy Elliott, Rebecca Donlin all
of Lititz, and six brothers Russell Gainer of East Petersburg,
Melvin Gainer, Sr. of Manheim, Wayne Gainer of Lititz, Charles
Gainer of Rexmont, Wendell Gainer of Lititz, and Gene
Gainer of New Hampshire. She is preceded in death by two sisters
Grace Gainer and Constance Wise of York.
Relatives and
friends are respectively invited to attend the Funeral Service on
Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at 11am from the Charles F. Snyder Jr.
Funeral Home & Chapel Inc., 3110 Lititz Pk, Lititz, PA
717-560-5100. A viewing will be held at the funeral home from
10-11am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Thommy's
memory may be made to Lancaster County Association for the Blind
