Joan (Young) Gentry, 66, of Ephrata, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2009, at her residence. She was born on December 19, 1942, in San Diego, CA. She was a daughter of the late John F. Sr. and Emmajean (Felkins) Young. Mrs. Gentry is survived by her husband, Wilmer R. Gentry.

Mrs. Gentry was of the protestant faith. She was a homemaker. Joan enjoyed cake decorating and was a Boy Scout leader. She was also involved with the Red Cross as a first aid and CPR instructor.

In addition to her husband, Joan is survived by three sons: John R. Gentry of York, Timothy R., husband of Michele Gentry of Manheim, and Mark Alan Gentry at home; two grandsons, Seth and Shane Gentry, and one brother, John F. Jr., husband of Sharon Young of California. She was preceded in death by a sister Frances.

Private graveside services will take place at Indiantown Gap Nation Cemetery. Please omit flowers.
