 Joseph
A. DiCola, 56, of Lititz, passed away on Friday, October 2, 2009
at Ephrata Hospital.
He was the
husband of Charlotte A. Meck DiCola, with whom he would have
celebrated 27 years of marriage on October 30th. Born in
Lancaster, Joe was the son of the late Albert and Nancy Gable
DiCola.
Joe had worked
in the Inspection Dept. at Armstrong World Industries for over 25
years.
Before his
illness, he enjoyed golf, bowling, home repair projects and small
appliance repairs. Multiple Sclerosis prevented him from doing
many things, but never from being a loving, caring and very proud
father .
Joe was of the
Catholic faith.
In addition to
his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Allison M. married to
Clifton Brignola of West Lawn, PA and his brother, David DiCola of
Lancaster. He was preceded in death by his brother, Stephen DiCola.
Friends will
be received on Thursday from 6-7PM at St Leo The Great Catholic
Church, 2427 Marietta Ave., Lancaster, with the Memorial Mass to
follow at 7PM, the Rev. Peter Hahn as Celebrant. Interment will be
private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers,
contributions may be made in Joe's memory to the Activities Dept.
at Maple Farms Nursing Center, 604 Oak St., Akron, PA 17501.
