Karen Ann Dean, beloved daughter of
Robert and Mary Petlansky Dean, passed away on November 21, 2009
in Lancaster, PA.
Born in Pottsville on May 29, 1962, she resided in Virginia most
of her life. She was a graduate of James W. Robinson Secondary
School, Fairfax, VA, and attended Northern Virginia Community
College. In 2001 she left her position as project coordinator for
a non-profit organization in Washington D.C. to become a caregiver
for her parents in Lancaster.
Karen was preceded in death by her mother. She is survived by
her father; one aunt, Dolores Dean McKenna, wife of Joseph, of
Pottsville; and three cousins, Thomas Ruppert, husband of Rebecca,
of Annapolis, MD, Kate McKenna Reber, wife of Michael, of
Pottsville and Anne McKenna Blasko, wife of John, of Lyon, France.
A future memorial service will be held at the convenience of
