Martha E. Covert, 83, of Lancaster, passed away on Friday, January 30, 2009 at her home. Born in Lancaster County on November 16, 1925, she was the daughter of the late William and Jane Rhodes Kipp. She was married to the late William Covert.

 Mrs. Covert is survived by two nephews: James, husband of Sonja Kipp of Stevens, Thomas, husband of Linda Kipp of Marietta; one niece, Ruth Ann, wife of Roy Krick of Duncannon; three step-children: Linda, wife of Jerry Zeiber of Reading, Sharon, wife of Ed Yopp of Georgia and Jeff Covert of Mount Joy; two great nieces, and one great great niece. She was preceded in death by a brother, Warren Kipp, and a sister Alma McCain.

Memorial Services will take place on Friday, February 6, 2009 from the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home and Chapel, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz at 1:00 p.m. with the Reverend Dale Parmer officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00- 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Silver Spring Cemetery. Please omit flowers.
