Katharina I. Corbett, 88, formerly of Westview Dr., Lancaster, PA died Thursday, December 3, 2009 at St. Anne's Retirement Community.  Born in Koln, Germany, Katharina was the daughter of the late Hermann and Emilie (Schmid) Sangemann.  She was the wife of the late William J. Corbett. 

A nurse, Katharina was a member of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church.  She was a member of Lancaster Liederkranz, and also a member of the Hobby Choir at the Liederkranz.  She played the violin for the Millersville Community Orchestra.

Katharina is survived by her sister-in-law, Anne Corbett of Glenside, PA, and brother-in-law John Corbett and his wife Dorothy of Cheltenham, PA, 14 nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her sisters Anna Boulanger and Elfriede Schneeberger.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 12, 2009 at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 2111 Millersville Pike, Lancaster, PA 17603, with Rev. Mark Weiss as Celebrant.  A viewing will be held from 9:30 until 10:30 AM at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 441 N. George St., Millersville, PA 17551.  Interment will be in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Katharina's memory to Hospice of Lancaster County, P.O.
