Joseph
Corallo, 73, of 348 Breckenridge Way, Lancaster, passed away on
Sunday, July 19th at Lancaster General Hospital.
He was the
husband of Miriam DiDonatantonio Corallo, with whom he would have
celebrated his 49th wedding anniversary this coming
August 6th. He was the eldest son of the late
Salvatore and Salvatora Corallo from Ragusa, Sicily, Italy.
Joseph had
worked for the Container Corporation of America in Philadelphia as
a machine operator for 22 years, until his retirement in 1998.
He was a
member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church.
He enjoyed
gardening, walking, loved coffee and was known as a big-hearted
and generous person. His family was the center of his life, and he
made Lancaster his home in 2008 to be with his children and
grandchildren.
In addition to
his wife, Joseph is survived by his children: John married to
Christine DiDominick of Norristown, Diane married to Antonio Ciro
of Lititz, Joseph Jr. married to Lorie Corallo of Oaks, and Lisa
married to Michael Rainsford of Lancaster. He is also survived by
his 4 grandchildren: Lila, Tony, Max, and Elizabeth. Also, he is
survived by his sisters Joanne, Frances, Connie, Rose, Theresa and
Marie, and his brother John. He was preceded in death by his
sisters Carmella and Theresa.
Friends will
be received on Friday from 930-11AM at St. John Neumann Catholic
Church, 601 E. Delp Rd., Lancaster, PA, with the Mass of Christian
Burial to follow at 11AM, the Rev. Paul Oye as Celebrant.
Interment at 2PM in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery in Norristown,
PA. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Joseph's
memory to the American Cancer Society, 314 Good Drive, Lancaster,
